蜱螨学家和农业昆虫学家。教授。南京农业大学植保系昆虫学教研组副主任。系统与应用蜱螨学会秘书长，中国昆虫学会蜱螨专业委员会委员和青年委员会委员，江苏省昆虫学会理事
副秘书长。1991年获南京农业大学昆虫学博士学位，1988年获南京农业大学昆虫学硕士学位，1985年获南京农业大学农学学士学位（昆虫学专业）。1995年至1996年作为访问学者赴英国自然历史博物馆进行合作研究。承担的主要课程：“农业昆虫学”,“植物检疫学”和“昆虫学专业英语” |

| 主要成就及专著：主持国家自然科学基金研究项目两项：中国植羽瘿螨科的系统分类（1998—~2000）和褐飞虱翅型分化的分子机理（1998~2000），主持江苏省自然科学研究项目一项褐飞虱翅型分化的遗传机制（1998~2000）。参加多项国家级课题的研究。发表论文和著作30余篇（部）。代表性论著:1.
